Buckeburg and Hannover, Germany
June 2-13, 2000

From June 2 to 13, 2000, the ISU Chamber Singers, faculty, and friends performed a series of four concerts in Buckeburg and Hannover, Germany. Three choirs from Germany and the Symphony Orchestra from Kaliningrad, Russia, also participated. The four concerts were planned to help support and publicize restoration of the Konigsberg Cathedral, located in Kaliningrad.
The highlight of the concerts was the premiere of Veni
Creator Spiritus, a new
composition for solo flute, mixed chorus, and symphony orchestra
by Dr. Jeffrey
Prater, ISU professor of music
and director of the ISU Chamber Singers.
